These thermometers are fully compliant with the latest ASTM E2251 -14 (Standard Specifications for Liquid-in-Glass ASTM Thermometers with Low-Hazard Precison Liquids). They come with a special small ring/hook that clips onto the glass, patented by Alla France (not supplied with thermometers larger than 6.5mm diameter)
The glass of these A.S.T.M. thermometers is yellow and the filling is a Special Blue Liquid. The graduation is very legible, fine and spaced. The scale is melted into the glass using a special industrial process which makes it completely indelible and highly resistant to chemical agents, except hydrofluoric acid and hot soda, as these two products directly attack the glass. Although a slight relief can be felt on the glass, the thermometer is not engraved.
Each of these thermometers has an individual number printed on the back. The thermometer is fully marked on the back with the A.S.T.M. number, its use and the A.S.T.M. method.
